Woodcroft’s central location puts Edinburgh’s business districts within easy reach, so working in the city is a breeze. It also means that all of Edinburgh’s many world-renowned schools (and its prestigious Universities) are easily accessible. Indeed, many of the best-regarded schools are close by, including, South Morningside and Sciennes primary schools and George Watson’s, James Gillespie’s, Heriot’s, Merchiston public schools.
Woodcroft has excellent transport links. Edinburgh’s central train stations (which offer express services to Glasgow, London and other major cities) are easy to get to by taxi or public transport. Edinburgh airport is now easily accessible via the city’s new tram system (the journey takes about 30mins from Princes Street). While, if you’re travelling out of the capital by car, the city’s by-pass – which provides access to the whole of Scotland’s motorway network – is less than three miles away.
It’s well worth getting out of the city, as the surrounding countryside is spectacular and full of things to do. For example, the golden beaches and championship golf courses of East Lothian are great places to head to on a weekend, the rolling Pentland Hills are perfect for an afternoon’s walk, while the stunning countryside of the Scottish borders and the Highlands can be easily reached for a wonderful weekend away.
